Music Moments

When looking at hiring musicians for your wedding day, it can be tricky to know which bits of the day you'd like to focus on.

I'm here to help guide you through this with the below information - to give you inspiration and ideas on what you could do.

Below are 8 parts of your special day, where you could have wonderful 'Music Moments'

01

Guest Arrival Music

So it's a great idea to have a live musician playing whilst guests are arriving to your ceremony venue and taking their seats. With having a musician, they might then be playing throughout the ceremony at different moments.

You can make this completely bespoke to you and enhance the atmosphere and vibe that you want for your ceremony.

Be able to add a personal touch to your ceremony, by having songs that really reflect and resonate with you as a couple.

02

Bridal Party Entrance

A beautiful and memorable moment when the bride and bridesmaids walk down the aisle. Firstly you'll need to decide who is walking down the aisle first, if for example it's the bridesmaids going first you may want a song just for them and then a new song for you (the bride) alternatively you may just want one song where the bridesmaids go first and as the music builds you then follow or vise versa.

Add a personal touch by having a musician to play your aisle song and have it audio recorded - so you can listen back in that real life moment.

During the Registry Signing

For this section of the ceremony, I would suggest 3-4 songs.

With having a live musician at your ceremony, you can ask for certain songs in their repertoire to be performed, or you can ask for particular songs that the musician can learn for your big day.

Again, the ceremony is all about the couple getting married. So the song selection should reflect and resonate with them.

04

Aisle Exit

Finally, to the ceremony is to have some music when you, as the married couple, walk back up the aisle at the end! This can be anything you want!

Make sure this piece of music leads into a few more tracks so that it gives your guests time to walk out of the ceremony area as well.

Again, a live musician will learn and perform the exit songs of your choice.

Drinks Reception

Now the next point to have music during your wedding is the drinks reception and this may seem obvious, but you'll be surprised how many couples forget about this area.

Just don't forget to have music during this moment as it will not have the same, vibe, mood, or atmosphere that you want to create without it.

There are so many options that you could have for music during your drinks reception - Have a chat with me to discuss what kind of music you would like and be sure to mention your favourite artists/songs, You can bespoke the music the reflect your personality just as much as you can with the styling and design.

06

Wedding Breakfast

Many people forget this! They focus on the food, they focus on the table styling and they forget again about the atmosphere and the mood.

Having a musician as background music to create a vibe whilst your eating your dinner is a great touch! It's popular to have a laid-back acoustic & jazz vibe in this part of the day.

First Dance

Now this is one you're very unlikely to forget, once you've had your wedding breakfast you're going to move into the first dance. You might not want to have a first dance or you do, it's completely up to you, but it's really lovely when couples choose a piece of music that is specific to them and means something special to the both of them!

The other piece of music you should consider is the piece that comes after the first dance. If you're going with tradition whereby the bride has a dance with their father again you might want a specific song that's special between the two of you. But if you're not going with tradition you may be going straight into your evening music...

08

Evening Reception

This is where the party starts! you can either have me as a live singer or DJ, or both! If you've got a nice late license you have a longer time in the evening so could start with a live performance and finish with a DJ.

There are plenty of songs we can select to make it special to you and your personality!

This option will come with all the dancefloor lighting included in the price for the evening. So you can ensure that the evening is going to have a fantastic, happy atmosphere - with everyone up on their feet all night long!
